We have been raising Registered Longhorn cattle since 2004. Bull Creek Longhorns is located in Fayetteville Texas, between Austin and Houston Texas off of Highway 71. Visitors are always welcome. We are very honored to be voted Breeder of the Year award with the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association 2019, Breeder of the Year at the Longhorn Legends sale 2023 and the Bob Loomis Award 2024 Milestone - Breed Improvement Award. Our Herd Sires choices are a intrical part of our Longhorn breeding program. Each bulls genetics count for 50% of each animal on the ranch. We strive especially for strong maternal genetics with correct conformation, good udder and feet, nicely shaped heads and small ears and of course color. We breed for exciting outcross genetics in our bulls to cross with the more commonly used foundation genetics in the industry. If you look at the bloodlines we focus on, one of the cows we feel is worthy to keep threaded through our herd is Tari Graves FM49. There are great attributes she offers that we strive to bring to the table by doing this. Those are good feet, correct bodies, feminine heads, small ears and most importantly, perfect bags and small teats that last a lifetime. We currently have several outstanding females in our herd that are icons in the industry, namely ECR True to Tradition, HR Slams Rose, ECR Reign of Castile, D/O Miss Grande. These elite females are going on to produce the future industry icons. As a rule Longhorns are gentle, friendly, curious, and naturally a very quiet natured breed of cattle. A huge attribute is birthing ease, a long breeding life. Our Longhorn cattle always stay current on vaccinations and worming. Delivery may be an option depending on distance and our current schedule or we can recommend several very reliable Longhorn haulers that go nationwide.
